What is the NACBM?
The National Association of Collegiate Basketball Managers was founded in 2011 by Kyle Lyddy, who was a manager for the University of Connecticut's Men's Basketball team between the years of 2005 and 2009. The formation of the association was to create a support system for Division I Men's Basketball Managers throughout the United States and to act as a networking platform for current and former managers to be a part of.

The association hopes to gain recognition to the managerial position, however most importantly to allow managers to work together to be successful. Although we feel it is important that the position remains a job that managers complete "behind the scenes", it is important that we use our platform to raise awareness for issues important to all of us.

What is the purpose of the NACBM?
The National Association of Collegiate Basketball Managers' purpose is to unify managers across the United States.
  • Bring managers together on issues within the game of basketball and to communicate on ways to be successful
  • Use our platform to create national initiatives such as building on the current Managers vs. Cancer project
  • Understand our roles as managers and to come up with ways to make our jobs more efficient
  • Work together after graduation by creating a networking group with coaches, teams, leagues and organizations within the sports world
